No. The text is encoded directly into the QR pattern; phones decode locally.

How much text fits?▾

Up to ~2KB practically. Beyond that the QR gets dense and hard to scan reliably.

Can I update the text after printing?▾

Only if you use a dynamic QR (Pro): the QR points at qrlia and forwards a text page. Static QRs encode the text into the image.

Does emoji work?▾

Yes — UTF-8 is supported.

Is anything tracked?▾

Static text QRs cannot track — the phone never calls home. Dynamic ones log scan country/time only.
