How it works
- 1Upload your logo silhouette. A clean PNG with transparency, or a solid black-on-white SVG. We scale it to the QR canvas automatically.
- 2We force error correction H. The QR encodes ~30% redundancy. We use it. Modules outside the silhouette get dropped; the scanner reconstructs them via Reed-Solomon.
- 3Function patterns are sacred. Finder corners, alignment patterns, timing strips, format-info bits — all drawn regardless of the silhouette so every scanner can still locate the QR.
- 4Coverage gate. If your silhouette would mask more than ECC-H can reconstruct, we tell you up front and suggest a thicker logo. What you see is what scans.
What other QR tools ship today
Centre-logo overlay
Bitly, Beaconstac/Uniqode, QRTiger, QR.io — your logo crops a hole in the QR's middle. The QR stays a square; the logo is a passenger.
Module-shape decoration
Pretty dots and rounded eyes. Useful, but the silhouette is still a square. Your brand isn't in the shape.

Will it still scan?
Yes. We force error correction level H (~30% module recovery) and protect every function pattern (finder corners, alignment, timing) from the silhouette mask. We also reject silhouettes that would drop more modules than ECC can reconstruct, so what you ship is what scans.
What logos work best?
Solid silhouettes that fill at least 70% of a square canvas — circles, shields, rounded squares, abstract brand marks. Very thin shapes (a single horizontal stroke, a slim wordmark) get rejected with a coverage warning.
PNG or SVG?
Either. Upload a transparent PNG (we read the alpha channel) or a black-on-white SVG (we threshold the brightness). 512×512 or larger gives a clean edge.
Does it work with my existing QR style choices?
Yes — module shapes (squares, dots, sparkles…), eye shapes, gradients, and frames all combine with silhouette masking. The only conflict is with the centre-logo overlay; the silhouette IS the logo, so we hide that control automatically.
Does it use AI?
No. This is deterministic, GPU-free, and produces the exact same QR every time for a given input. AI-generated artistic QRs (Stable Diffusion ControlNet) are a separate feature on our roadmap.
